US actor Channing Tatum proves his dancing talent again: On November 15, Warner Bros. released the first trailer for "Magic Mike's Last Dance". In the third and final part of the stripper film series, 42-year-old Tatum once again takes on the leading role. Salma Hayek is seen alongside him after Thandiwe Newton stepped down from her role due to personal reasons. The trailer contains, of course, a lot of dance scenes and nudity.
"I want it to be the Super Bowl of stripping," Tatum told People magazine of Magic Mike's Last Dance. "I want to dance like we never could in the other two films because we had to be honest with what the reality is in this world and that's not great dancing." The film offers "the most blatant dances that we can create". The Magic Mike films are loosely based on the life of Channing Tatum, who was a 20-year-old stripper in Florida.
In addition to Tatum and Hayek, the film also stars Gavin Spokes, Caitlin Gerard, Christopher Bencomo, Ayub Khan-Din and Juliette Motamed. Reid Carolin wrote the screenplay, while Steven Soderbergh returned to direct after Gregory Jacobs directed the second installment, Magic Mike XXL. "Magic Mike's Last Dance" will start in German cinemas on February 9, 2023.
