The two men's teams from the HTHC and the Hamburger Polo Club will be fighting for the title in the Euro Hockey League on the Easter weekend next year. The German champions Rot-Weiss Köln had already been determined as the third German participant.

In the Bundesliga, the UHC men meanwhile came to a surprising 4:3 victory against the defending champion Cologne. The guests were already leading 3-0 after 19 minutes. Florian Sperling equalized about three minutes before the end. Michel Struthoff scored the winning goal in the last minute. The club on the Alster won 3-2 (2-0) at Munich SC.

The Alster ladies celebrated a 2:1 (1:1) victory against the HTHC. National player Anne Schröder scored the decisive goal just five minutes before the end of the game. The Großflottbeker THGC suffered a setback with the 1:1 (1:0) at newly promoted Bremer HC, while the UHC won 2:1 (1:0) at the Berliner HC.
