The Pantone color of the year 2022 is "Very Peri" (Pantone 17-3938), a shade of purple that can be combined in many ways. "Offering all the qualities of blue tones plus a reddish-purple hue, Very Peri shows us a vibrant, joyful perspective on the world and dynamic presence that inspires bold creativity and imaginative expression," says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, to the trend color. It can be mixed in a casual look with gray or black jeans as well as chic white sneakers or boots. But the color also looks good in the form of a dress with sneakers, sandals or pumps.

The next classic in the list of trend colors for 2022 is red. The classic red is particularly trendy and is a real eye-catcher in an outfit: whether as a dress in combination with reserved shoes or as a specific highlight, for example as a bag, blouse or also as a sweater. The color directly adds a warm, romantic touch to the outfit.
In 2021, the Pantone color was still a shade of yellow: "Illuminating" (Pantone 13-0647), a bright, cheerful yellow. In 2022 it will appear again in the trend colors, but also optionally as a darker shade of yellow. It can be combined in many ways, for example in the form of a blouse with black trousers or as a sweater with classic blue jeans.
Tip: You can't go wrong with nude tones in the coming season if you want to be trendy. A two-piece suit in muted colors combined with white sneakers, for example, always works. Small highlights, such as golden jewelry or red lips, can make the look even more exciting. If you want to stay minimal, you can also do so with confidence and set very subtle accents.
