The volleyball team at Dresdner SC started the new European Cup season with a defeat. The team of trainer Alexander Waibl had to lose in the first round of the CEV Cup at the Italian top club e-work Busto Arsizio after a big fight with 1: 3 (18:25, 20:25, 25:16, 23:25) give up. The final decision on reaching the next round will be made next Wednesday when the second leg takes place in Dresden.

After the young DSC team had lost the first two sets against the experienced Italians, they put up a tough fight against the hosts in the following two rounds. After 94 minutes, greater experience and strong nerves decided for Busto Arsizio
