A 19-year-old from Klötze in western Saxony-Anhalt, who has been missing since the beginning of March, is dead. Her body was discovered on Thursday near a gravel works in the Lower Saxony municipality of Bahrdorf, as the public prosecutor and the Stendal Police Inspectorate jointly announced on Friday. The site is about 40 kilometers from the young woman's hometown.
A 42-year-old suspect was reportedly arrested. He is to be brought before a magistrate on Friday on suspicion of manslaughter. The "Bild" newspaper reported about it first.
