Crises often lead to pragmatic solutions. This was observed recently in Nuremberg, where the city had the water pumped out of the city's indoor swimming pools in order to water thirsty trees. Because of the energy crisis, the baths were closed anyway, and heat and the ongoing drought, the second trouble spot, had taken their toll on the city's trees. Chlorine did not stand in the way of the project. It had already been dismantled due to the baths not being used for a long time.
