On Sunday, May 29, just before 5 p.m. an accident happened on the D518, one kilometer away from Chamaloc and towards the Col du Rousset. It is believed that the accident has caused serious injuries. According to the initial evidence, it appears that two motorcycles collided.

Both the driver and passenger of the first motorcycle, a 68 year-old man and 47-year old woman, both died. The other motorcycle pilot, a young man in his twenties was also severely injured. The Civil Security helicopter from Isere picked him up and he was airlifted to Grenoble's hospital.

The gendarmes opened an investigation to find out the causes of this terrible accident.

To allow for emergency intervention, the RD518 was disconnected.
