The Dordogne prefecture just announced its first irrigation measures due to the hot and dry May. There has been a decrease in river flows. This Monday, May 30, is the date of the first decree.

It affects the Estrop, Lidoire, and Bournegue Rivers, with a heightened alarm (prohibition on sampling for 3.5 days per week).

Groundwater from the La Rochefoucauld Karst (from Charente) is also under alert (45%). The municipalities in question are Abjat-sur-Bandiat, Augignac, Beaussac (in Mareuil-en-Perigord), Le Bourdeix, Busserolles, Bussiere-Badil, Champniers-et-Reilhac, Etouars, Hautefaye, Javerlhac-et-la- Chapelle-Saint-Robert, Lussas-et-Nontronneau, Nontron, Piegut-Pluviers, Saint-Barthelemy-de-Bussiere, Saint-Estephe, Saint-Martial-de-Valette, Saint-Martin-le-Pin, Savignac-de- Nontron, Soudat, Teyjat and Varaignes.
