Mr. Maschke, how many sausage shops, snack bars and bakeries does a food inspector see? That depends on where the colleagues are working. We have inspectors who visit 200 companies. And there are some who are responsible for 2000 companies. The urban districts and the rural districts determine the layout. There are over 400 of them in Germany.

Can the annual official controls be created? This can be successful with up to 200 companies, but definitely not with 2000 companies. Depending on the size of the company, we can manage two visits a day, rarely three.
