District of Hof: Fire in a chemical plant triggers a large-scale operation

A fire in a chemical plant in Schwarzenbach an der Saale (Hof district) triggered a large-scale operation by the fire brigade and police. According to an initial assessment by a police spokesman, the damage should be in the six-digit range. Firefighters, who, according to the spokesman, were "most numerous" on site, extinguished the fire in an engine room on Friday morning. Nobody got hurt. A dangerous goods squad from the police and fire investigators were also on duty.
