Dismantled a gang of "full police" who stole from drug gangs

The National Police and the Civil Guard have dismantled a gang that pretended to be members of the State security forces and bodies to rob drug trafficking networks. These 'full police officers', who were based in Seseña (Toledo) and in the Community of Madrid, obtained money and drugs through these "overturns" to gangs dedicated to drug trafficking.

This joint operation has resulted in the arrest of six men, all of Colombian origin, and aged between 25 and 67 years, who would have obtained more than half a million euros with the drug thefts perpetrated. Those arrested had firearms and numerous police identification material such as plates, vests or strobe lights and technical means of surveillance (GPS devices) as well as recording systems that they placed in their victims' vehicles to know when they had large amounts of drugs or money.

The investigations began in 2020 as a result of two robberies with violence in which several people acted brandishing firearms and police plates and vests. The agents were able to identify one of the perpetrators of the robberies, who turned out to be a man with a long history related to drug trafficking who had served a prison sentence in Japan.

The six detainees are charged with the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, usurpation of public functions and belonging to a criminal organization.
