GIRO D'ITALIA. This is the queen stage of this Tour of Italy. 191 kilometers long, the 9th stage will take the riders to the top of the Blockhaus, a 13 km pass with an average gradient of 9% and reputed to be the most difficult pass of the Giro. In ambush in the general classification, Romain Bardet has a great opportunity to get closer to the podium.

At the end of the 8th stage of this Giro 2022 and on the eve of a stage, the Spaniard Juan Pedro Lopez of the Segafredo Trek is still the pink jersey of this Tour of Italy and is 38 seconds ahead of Kamna and 58 seconds on Taaramae.

The Tour of Italy will be followed live and in full on Eurosport antennas from May 6 to 29. The race will be broadcast on Eurosport 1, Eurosport.fr as well as the Eurosport and GCN apps. Each stage will be accompanied by a presentation and a debrief of the "Kings of the Pedal", animated successively by Géraldine Weber and Lesly Boitrel.
