The territorial delegate of the Junta de Castilla y León in Ávila, José Francisco Hernández Herrero, has declared level 1 of the Special Civil Protection Plan for emergencies due to accidents in the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail in Castilla y León (MPCYL) after an accident at kilometer 85 of the N-403, in the municipality of El Tiemblo, between a truck transporting chlorine and a car.

No injuries have been reported in the accident, but a chlorine spill is taking place. At the moment, the firefighters of San Martín de Valdeiglesias and the Civil Guard are working in the area.

Also, the Ávila firefighters have been notified and the evacuation of the 'La Atalaya' urbanization, close to the place, is being evaluated.

The N-403 road is currently closed at the direction of the firefighters.
