Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari played only one game in the 2021 season due to complications involving his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered at the conclusion of the previous season. The team also continues to be concerned about his health and has decided to keep him out of the field during the offseason.

Head coach Matt LaFleur has been unable to commit to Bakhtiari joining the team when training camp begins this summer. Bakhtiari was optimistic about Tuesday's training camp, but LaFleur countered by pointing out that Bakhtiari is expected to be able play more this year.

LaFleur stated, via Zach Kruse at USAToday.com: "Time will show." We fully expect him to be ready to go. But, as you know, last year was also a success. It will be interesting to see what the future holds. We are proud of the hard work he has done and where he is at.

Elgton Jenkins was the Packers' left guard during the majority of last season. However, Jenkins tore his ACL in November. His outlook for camp and the beginning of the season is still unclear.
