Darmstadt: driver with 3.45 per mille stops on A67: throws up

A drunk driver stopped his car on the A67 near Darmstadt to vomit. At least that's what the 44-year-old explained to the police, as they announced early on Saturday morning. The man from Cologne, in whom the officials found a blood alcohol level of 3.45 in a breath alcohol test, drove in wavy lines on the A67 late Friday evening, stopped on the road and then drove on. An alarmed police patrol then stopped him in a parking lot on the A5 for inspection. He was arrested there and taken to a police station to have his blood drawn.

When examining his documents, it was found that his driver's license and ID card were forged. Criminal charges were filed against the man. He was then taken into police custody to sober up.
