Daniel Craig: He gets the same award as 007

Special honor for Hollywood star Daniel Craig (54). The former James Bond actor was honored with the Order of Saint Michael and Saint George on Tuesday (October 18). 007 also received this honor in the novels of Ian Fleming (1908-1964).

The 54-year-old actor received the award for Outstanding Contribution in Film and Theater from Princess Anne, 72, at Windsor Castle. A photo of Craig accepting the award was posted on the royal family's official social media accounts. The royals insisted on alluding to the Bond films in the commentary. "We were expecting you..." it says there - a well-known sentence from the agent strips.

Daniel Craig played James Bond from 2006 before quitting the role in 2021 with the film No Time to Die. Ahead of the release of his final Bond film, the British actor was made an honorary commander by the Royal Navy - another rank shared with the character 007.

Also honored on Tuesday was film director and producer Paul Greengrass (67), who has directed several Hollywood blockbusters - including three films from the "Bourne" series.
