The new month starts and the Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage has created the "Cultural June" agenda. It is part of the "12 months for culture" initiative that includes 70 activities. This year, Jaen's archaeology and archival heritage will be the main themes.

In collaboration with Once, Aprompsi and Aprosoja, the activities include guided tours of Iberian Museum for persons with disabilities. Jesus Estrella, the acting Government delegate, announced this yesterday at the presentation of the program at Ubeda's Archaeological Museum of Ubeda. The museum hosted a workshop for 70 children from the municipal nursery school.

The Culturamania program, a cultural collaboration with the University of Jaen, returns for its third year. It offers music, dance, and theater performances at the Provincial Historical Archive.

The celebration at the Iberian Museum for the eighth International Conference on Egyptology "Old Kingdom Art" was a unique activity this month.

The museum also hosts the Francisco Coello de Portugal y Quesada exhibition, which will be open until August 20, as part of commemorative activities for the bicentennial celebrations in Jaen. Castulo will offer the public continued Saturday morning visits and, as an innovation, sunset visits.

Children can become archaeologists at the Puente Tablas Archaeological Enclave on June 4th, while adults take part in a guided tour. The Iberian pottery workshop is another option at the visitor centre on June 18.

The Iberian Museum offers guided tours to the exhibition "The fortified City: the Oppidum" on Sundays June 5th and 19th. A children's workshop is also available on June 11th under the title "Iberian Animals". The museum also hosts the Ex-votos exhibition of the Rodriguez Acosta Foundation. It features a collection of Iberian bronze ex–votos that have never been seen in their entirety outside of its permanent exhibition space.
