Brazen break-in at a luxury boutique in Hamburg: On Tuesday morning, previously unknown perpetrators drove a stolen car into the shop window of a luxury shop in the city center.

After the crash, they stole several high-quality bags and fled on foot, according to the police in Hamburg. Although the officers searched for the thieves with 16 patrol cars, the search was initially unsuccessful.

The police were made aware of the spectacular burglary on the luxury mile on Neuer Wall shortly before 5 a.m. by a witness who noticed the cracked windows of the shop and the damaged Audi 80 in front of it. According to initial findings, the vehicle was stolen before the burglary in the St. Pauli district. The perpetrators drove right into the glass entrance area in the middle of the shop front.

The police initially did not know how many perpetrators broke into the store and what they looked like. The amount of property damage and the value of the stolen goods were also still unclear.
