A passer-by discovered a body stuck upside down in a sewer shaft on a country road near Cologne early on Sunday morning. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the unknown man, said a police spokesman. The circumstances surrounding the crime are still unclear. The body should be autopsied on Sunday.
