Far more than a thousand people will be out and about in Frankfurt with garbage bags this Friday and Saturday and collect garbage all over the city at the "Frankfurt Cleanup 2023". The clean-up campaign is intended to set an example against the careless disposal of rubbish, as stated on the campaign's website.

So far, 1721 people have registered, said the Clean Frankfurt staff office as of Wednesday afternoon on request. That's fewer volunteers than last year. At that time more than 2600 people took part. They collected more than 1.1 tons of garbage.

Anyone who still wants to take part spontaneously can take part in the central campaigns in the districts of Griesheim (Friday) and Sachsenhausen (Saturday). The initiative is organizing the "Frankfurt Cleanup" for the 5th time
