Circolmedo dismisses edition after performing for more than 5,300 spectators

The XIII CircOlmedo Circus Arts Show has closed this Sunday, after four days of shows, after having received more than 5,300 spectators who enjoyed the performance of the 20 companies present, according to a statement from the organization. After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the success of the public was notorious, something that "consolidates this national reference show."

The number of attendees equals the numbers of the last year of celebration, before the pandemic. For four days, Olmedo has become a circus at street level where you can enjoy great circus artists who have come with their companies to the Castilian and Leonese town.

Children and adults enjoyed the artistic skills and practice them too, through its different workshops.

The exhibition included the participation of 20 companies from Castilla y León, Andalusia, Catalonia, Madrid, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and the Basque Country, in addition to Argentina and Mexico.

Both the shows held at the San Pedro Performing Arts Center and those that have taken place at the Corrala del Palacio del Caballero had the maximum occupancy of the capacity. In the same way, it is worth noting the popular participation in the parades held and the interest aroused by the circus galas on Saturday afternoon and Sunday night, where the public "defied time, filled and enjoyed the artistic exhibition in the Corral of the Palace».

The budget for the exhibition amounted to 50,000 euros, financed by the Next Generation Funds through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, the Junta de Castilla y León and the Olmedo City Council through the Plan de Tourism Sustainability of the town and the co-financing of Scenic Circuits Provincial Theater Network.
