The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced on Friday the reopening of reporting centers for small vessels affected by closure measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The recovery will take place gradually in most of the federal agency's sites, with the exception of six centers in Ontario and one in Quebec, in this case the municipal wharf in Philipsburg.

The reporting center in Sand Point Lake, Ontario will also remain closed until further notice due to flooding that caused water damage.

A total of 316 small vessel reporting centers will be reopened, including 255 in Ontario and nine in Quebec, for travelers entering Canada by sea.

In Quebec, the CBSA plans in particular to reopen the wharf in Cedarville, Ogden, the Chicoutimi Yacht-club and the yacht clubs in Baie-Comeau, Gaspé and Sept-Îles.

Service will also resume in Highwater - Leadville wharf, the marinas of Ville de la Baie (Anse-à-Benjamin) and the Old Port of Quebec and Miller Camping in Clarenville.
