The Minister of Economy and Finance and spokesman for the Board, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, began his appearance this Thursday at the press conference after the Governing Council, conveying the "firm condemnation" of the regional government for the murder of a 35-year-old woman who died allegedly stabbed by her partner last morning in the province of Soria.

In statements collected by Ical, Carriedo has stressed the "firm commitment of the Communiqué in the fight against this scourge, which has caused the murder of a woman this morning in Soria" and underlines that the regional Executive will attend to "the provision of services corresponding that may take place both in the 8-year-old daughter who witnessed the murder, who is left an orphan, and in the psychological and legal protection that may be required.

Fernández Carriedo has confirmed that the little girl will be in the care of a close relative, who will take care of her, something that the regional Executive always prioritizes over the possibility that she may be admitted to a public center for the protection of minors.

Questioned about the statements made by the Vice President of the Board, Juan García-Gallardo, who has said that "from now on", the Board will remember all victims of domestic violence, Fernández Carriedo pointed out that "the Board recognizes the women victims of gender-based violence", and added that "in addition to the scourge that this violence represents against women" they are also concerned about "other violence that is not sufficiently regulated, the protection of other people who are the object of violence in the family environment and who also deserve protection.

"We condemn any type of murder and violence, if there were another murder in the Community we would condemn it, as we have done with the very serious event that has been recorded this morning," he insisted before emphasizing the "rejection" of the regional government to the murder for gender violence registered in Soria.
