Cannes: The "Un certain regard" award has been given to the French film "Les Pires", directed by Lise Akoka.

The main parallel section of the 75th Cannes Film Festival's 75th Cannes Film Festival was "auteur and discovery cinema". Friday's "Un Certain Regard" award went to French film "Les Pires" starring Lise Akoka (and Romane Gueret). Valeria Golino, chair of the jury, chose the film that depicts a wild casting in Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais).

The film, which will be shown in French theaters on November 12, is a mix of reality and fiction. It required extensive immersion and the interaction with hundreds of children. Romane Gueret and Lise Akoka, were both involved in coaching or casting children for the movie. This experience was a key part of the film's making. Their web series, "You prefer", was shot by Arte.
