National soccer player Florian Neuhaus has his sights set on his comeback a good three months after his cruciate ligament injury. At the start of the second series in the Bundesliga on January 22 against Bayer Leverkusen, the 25-year-old wants to make his competitive comeback.
"Leverkusen is a realistic goal for me. But we still have three friendlies before that. I assume we'll be there," the midfielder told the "Bild" newspaper. "Everything's fine from the knee. It's about increasing the load step by step because I haven't had a team training session for three months now," said Neuhaus, who is about to return to team training.
