A 17-year-old on the train was probably seriously injured by the man. The teenager was taken to the hospital. According to the first findings, there is no danger to life, said the spokesman. Police were notified of the incident around 1:20 p.m. The emergency services then found an ax-like object on the suspected 37-year-old in Guben. The spokesman was initially unable to say what exactly it was.

The man is said to have walked through several wagons of the regional train. The police could not say where he boarded. According to current knowledge, alcohol or drugs were not involved in the suspect. The police spokesman could not provide any information on the motive. The arrested man first came to a police inspection. The investigators secured clues in the afternoon and interviewed witnesses.
