Alba Berlin prevented the second defeat of the season in the basketball Bundesliga with a furious final sprint. Despite being 15 points behind, the champions defeated the penultimate medi Bayreuth in the fourth quarter with 91:83 (40:49).
With a record of 8:1 victories, the Berliners have drawn level with FC Bayern Munich (8:1), but are in first place in the table due to the better basket ratio.
Almost 48 hours after the clear 75:104 defeat in the Euroleague against Fenerbahce Istanbul, the game-stressed champion had big problems with his actual favorite opponent Bayreuth for a long time.
