The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has been elected president of the Popular Party of Madrid with 99.12 percent of the votes cast tonight at the XVII Extraordinary Congress of the Popular Party of Madrid. A total of 2,052 delegates have voted, and 2,030 supported her candidacy.

The closing of this conclave will take place tomorrow with the presence of the president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and in the morning the new executive committee already chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso will meet for the first time.

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, will also speak on this closing day; and the president of the Committee of the Regions, Apostolos Tzitzikostas.
