Flashbulbs, stars - and many men in tuxedos: Greats from show, TV, film, fashion and sport met in Berlin for the 24th "Men of the Year" gala of the German "GQ". The Munich-based men's style magazine "GQ" wanted to honor personalities in several categories on Thursday evening, including film star Eddie Redmayne (40) and Real Madrid footballer David Alaba (30).

At the Kant-Garagen (a former multi-storey car park on Kantstraße in Charlottenburg), celebrities such as Hollywood actress Diane Kruger and Netflix series star Maximilian Mundt could be seen on the entrance carpet.

The international magazine also chooses Men of the Year in other countries. In the UK in mid-November, for example, it was the rapper Stormzy and the "Heartstopper" series stars Joe Locke and Kit Connor.
