Avalem Joves Plus 2022: the Valencian city councils offer a thousand jobs for those under thirty years of age

The municipalities of the Valencian Community can now proceed to hire people under thirty years of age within the Avalem Joves Plus program. It is about the Empuju 2022 aid, which will allow a thousand young people to be hired for twelve months by the local entities that have been selected as beneficiaries.

In total, there are 535 beneficiary entities, of which 277 are from the province of Valencia, 134 from Castellón and 124 from Alicante, as reported by the Generalitat in a statement.

In the coming months, applicants will be selected who, as a first requirement, must be registered with Labora as job seekers, as well as registered with the National Youth Guarantee System.

From among the young people who meet this requirement, those who, due to their demand form in Labora, fall within the profiles that each local entity has requested will be selected.

In order for any interested person to obtain information about these aids, they must make an appointment with the orientation service of their Espai Labora.

This year's call amounts to more than 22 million euros and with it it is expected that a thousand young people can access these contracts that will allow local entities to have additional human resources in order to carry out specific actions in the field of their powers .

Labora launches a new edition of this action that already has several calls in recent years. In fact, since 2014 there are already more than 12,000 young people who have been able to access these contracts.

According to the Generalitat, the data collected by Labora speak of the good results achieved by this action since, six months after completing their participation in the program, 34 percent of these young people have found work, which makes it « an effective tool” with which to fight against the high rate of youth unemployment that, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has been “even more accentuated”.

The call is part of the Recovery Aid program for Europe's Cohesion and Territories (React-EU), endowed with 55,000 million euros of additional funds made available to the European Social Fund (ESF), of which 10,000 million corresponded to Spain and that have been distributed among the different administrations for their execution through the state and regional operational programs.

The Operational Program of the European Social Fund of the Valencian Community includes a new priority axis called React-EU with the aim of favoring the repair of the crisis in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and its social consequences, and preparing a green recovery , digital and resilient economy. Under this priority, the actions that seek to support access to the labor market, the creation of jobs and quality employment are specified.
