An elderly man is standing among thousands of people in the freezing sleet, flags with the symbol of the peace movement, a white dove on a blue background, are waving above his head. He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a small Russian paper flag. On it he wrote: "Peace can only be made with Putin."
