Arvert: Presentation of the Coubre forest's forest development plan for the next twenty years

On Wednesday, June 2, at 6 p.m., the Natvert association will hold a conference in Arvert village hall about forest management in La Coubre state forest over the next 20 years. Jean-Bernard Duprat will be presenting, as a preview, the Coubre forest's future development for 2021-2040.

It will discuss the program of actions that resulted from an inventory, analyses and summaries. This project was developed after consultation to meet society's expectations. It takes into account the multifunctionality and treatment of 25% of the forest's surface. Four groups consisting of ONF staff, elected officials, and members from local associations discuss the history, environment, and a layout to welcome people around the old school in "heart of Coubre ".

Coubre Forest covers 4,955 ha. It has 20 km fixed dunes that are protected from erosion, 24 km cycle paths, 50km of long and short-distance hiking trails and 48km of horse riding. There is also a device fire protection: 17 watchtowers, 12 km firewall, and a watchtower.
