The Alfaz del Pi Local Police have arrested a man for reckless driving after allegedly running over three people when they were on the terrace of a bar in Alfaz del Pi.

As reported by the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU), the event occurred at dawn, around 1:30 am, on Avenida del Albir, in l'Alfàs del Pi. Apparently, a vehicle got on the sidewalk and ran over people who were at that time on the terrace of a bar.

The man, a Polish citizen, allegedly refused to submit to a breathalyzer test despite obvious symptoms of alcohol consumption.

It is expected that throughout the day today it will go to court.

Two SVB and SAMU units were mobilized to the area, which assisted three people who had polycontusions. One of them was discharged on the spot and the other two, a 37-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman, were transferred by the SVB to the Marina Baixa Hospital in Vila Joiosa and are already at home, according to the City Council.
