Madrid landfills will save 55,000 tons of garbage per year. The Campillo center in the municipality of Arganda del Rey has installed two new waste processing lines to treat and reuse waste from mechanical and mechanical recycling. the plant will obtain fuel and aluminum that will have a new life in cement, ceramics and foundries.
The manufacturing line for Residue Derived Fuels (CDR) will specifically provide an energy recovery of more than 30,000 tons per year, with high calorific value for fuels from cement and ceramics, producing renewable energy. The other processing line will recover approximately 25,000 tons of aluminum per year, which will be transferred to different smelters.
Every year the Campillo center treats almost 250,000 tons of plastics and another 100,000 tons of rest, scrap, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, cans, aluminium, copper, paper, cardboard and glass from the different plants and from Ecoembes.
