The heart beats a little faster at the Ville d'Hiver d'Arcachon since Thursday. The jumping des sables competition, which was cancelled two years ago due to pandemic, is being hosted by the equestrian centre. The Derby at Pereire beach, which takes place at low tide, is the main event of the event. This Saturday, at 10:30 am: 900m of course with 17 obstacles.

Olivier Robert, a Girondin rider, and Isabelle II S, his mare Isabelle II S won the amateur Derby. Guillaume Bermejo, on Barjavel du Gabereau, and David Detour, on Evinrude Knight, were next. Fanny Poletto Charbonnier was fourth among professionals to win the amateur Derby in 2014.

Alexandre Saramon, an amateur on Daran, is the winner. Second place was won by Laura Etineau, Calinska Crouzettes; third was Anthony Megrier, Teamber de Sever.

Sunday jumps continue at the equestrian centre.
