Alicante will take to the streets tomorrow, Tuesday, in defense of the transfer from the Tagus to the Segura in a demonstration that could be historic due to its influx due to the great discomfort that the new restrictions have generated in all sectors of the economy and society in the province of Alicante.

The Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (Asaja) of Alicante moved its act of protest to May 17 "before the dramatic situation of the producers of the province" after the confirmation of the cut of the Tajo-Segura transfer. Leading the demonstration will be Carlos Mazón, president of the Alicante Provincial Council and the Popular Party of the Valencian Community, and the act will take place in front of the Government Sub-delegation.

At the head of the demonstration will be the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, and all the groups of farmers will unite their voices to denounce what they consider an "outrage" by the Central Government.

The act will take place at 11:00 a.m. and, days ago, Carlos Mazón called on the whole of society to protest against cuts that could result in the loss of 6,000 jobs, as has already been denounced by the Business Union of the Province of Alicante (Uepal).
