The plastic artist Alberto Romero exhibits a new collection of works at the San Marcos Cultural Center on the occasion of the VIII Centenary of the Birth of Alfonso X el Sabio, an exhibition that the Toledo City Council has decided to extend until June 19 given the success of visitors that since the inauguration, on April 8, have passed through the exhibition 'Alfonso X. Three cultures, one king'.
As explained by the Councilor for Culture, Teo García, the exhibition will also be added to the activities that the City Council has scheduled for the Big Week of Corpus Christi, whose programming will be announced by Mayor Milagros Tolón in the coming days.
This exhibition project, sponsored by the Toledo City Council, the Impulsa Foundation and Bodegas Finca Constancia de González Byass, is the result of more than three years of research and study on the life and work of the Wise King.
Through 42 works, the painter and sculptor from Toledo takes a tour of the ins and outs of the Court of King Alfonso X, the most influential men and women in his life; music, astrology and the rest of the knowledge that made his reign the cradle of culture within a medieval world where the Three Cultures could coexist in harmony.
