A mother accidentally hit her child on Friday afternoon as she parked her car in a parking lot at 10286 Terrasse Fleury in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

Around 5:45 p.m. a call was made to 911 regarding the collision.

The 3-year-old toddler and the mother were taken to the hospital, the first for upper body injuries and the second for nervous shock, reported SPVM agent Gabriella Youakim.

According to the officer, the mother made a mistake by parking her car after dropping off her children. Not having seen the three-year-old, she rammed him at low speed.

When the police arrived, the child was conscious and crying. His life is not in danger.
