Africa is something like the Wedding among the continents. Sounds absurd, but that's how it is. The Berlin district with its raw charm has been saying for ages: It's coming. Africa has also been considered a "continent of opportunity" for years. One is a running gag, the other a drama. And that is why German-African economic relations have so far remained well below the optimistic expectations.
