In a head-on collision between a car and a small truck near Warendorf, both drivers were critically injured. A 29-year-old driver got into the oncoming lane on Monday afternoon and crashed into the oncoming small truck of a 25-year-old, the police said in the evening. It was still unclear why the car left the road on district road 3 between Everswinkel and Warendorf.

The car reportedly skidded and eventually stopped in a ditch. The small truck left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The two drivers were taken to area hospitals.
