A man was hit by a car on Autobahn 92 between the Moosburg-Süd and Erding junctions and fatally injured. The 61-year-old was driving his truck towards Munich at noon when he stopped on the hard shoulder due to a breakdown, the police said on Wednesday. For initially unclear reasons, the truck driver entered the roadway and was hit by a 19-year-old's car.

Despite resuscitation measures by first aiders and rescue workers, only his death could be determined. The 19-year-old driver suffered a shock and was treated by a crisis intervention team. Due to the forensic and investigative work, the road was closed for around three hours.
