Two men were seriously injured in a traffic accident on a country road between Nieder-Werbe and Basdorf. In the accident on Saturday morning, a 26-year-old driver left the road in a left turn to the right for an unknown reason, the police said. The car then hit a tree and fell down an embankment about three meters deep. In addition to the driver, the passenger was also seriously injured. The driver was transported to a clinic in Kassel in a rescue helicopter and the passenger was transported to a nearby hospital in an ambulance. The highway was completely closed during the rescue and recovery work.
