A van driver crashed his car into a tree in the Osnabrück district and was critically injured. As the police announced on Sunday, the 26-year-old was on a country road in Venne on Saturday when he left the roadway to the right for reasons that have not yet been clarified. His car collided head-on with a tree. The fire brigade freed the trapped man from the wreck. The 26-year-old suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
