The Local Police of Burgos has arrested a 29-year-old woman this Thursday morning for an alleged crime of mistreatment in the family that would have occurred at a home on Calle Emperador in the South District.

The 112 emergency service received a notice of the situation, around two in the morning, after which the agents appeared at the aforementioned address, where a man was waiting with a baby in his arms and another under six years old with him, according to a statement from the City Council collected by Europa Press.

According to what the man told the agents, his wife would have attacked him and threatened him with a "large" knife, events that were "endorsed" by the couple's daughter, who added that she had also been beaten by her mother in that time and on previous ones.

The woman, who was at that time in another room of the house, did not respond to questions and did not collaborate with the agents, but they managed to locate the knife used in the alleged attack and the injuries presented by the man were verified, so who requested the presence in the place of a health service.

After due investigations, the Local Police proceeded to arrest the 29-year-old woman for an alleged crime of abuse in the family.
