The socialist councilor of Alcoy Lorena Zamorano aspires to an administrative position in the Denia City Council -another municipality where her party governs in the same province- less than a month after apologizing on social networks for the "failure" of have filed in their own municipality.
Although at the beginning of May, the second deputy mayor of the mayor's government team, Toni Francés, emphasized that she wanted to "set an example" and acknowledged that she had made a mistake for "aesthetics" when choosing this job path to become a civil servant, now it does not seem to consider those same criteria a few kilometers away. A similar case had also sparked controversy in Barcelona, although all these situations are perfectly legal.
It is a General Administration technical position, in competition, and Zamorano appears on the list of 37 admitted for the test, while another 17 have been excluded for not meeting some of the requirements.
In the case of Alcoy, the evaluation jury was appointed by the mayor, Toni Francés, although this power is not specified in the Denia job offer and the person in charge of municipal Human Resources presides over that body.
As a result of his publication on ABC his first attempt, in addition to backing down the councilor, criticism arose from the ranks of the PP while the socialists defended their partner and pointed out that it was "no lack of ethics." Lorena Zamorano worked for a few months last year as a municipal secretary in another city council, that of Muro, a period in which she renounced her exclusive dedication.
