Ariane Gagnon had just moved to work in the region when the event happened.

"It's a nice welcome gift," she said.

During the events, the parents of little Raphaëlle quickly realized that the birth would take place much faster than expected.

After calling 911, they settled on the kitchen floor to wait for paramedics to arrive. The two paramedics took care of everything. "Little Raphaëlle's grandmother greeted us by saying 'if you haven't already given birth, it's happening today', we turned the corner and we quickly understood that would happen at home.

“From the moment we got to the one where I had Raphaëlle in my hands, it took eight minutes in all,” said Ariane Gagnon.

"I call them my two angels, really reassuring, confident," said Raphaëlle's mother, Mélissa Laprise. This type of intervention does not happen every day.

"It's a wonderful call, we were happy to know that it had gone well, to see them again today is unexpected, to see the little chick and her parents, as relaxed as when it happened. We are really blessed to have been able to experience this, I will keep this in mind all my life, ”added Audrey Martel, the second paramedic.

The family and the two women met on Friday morning for the first time since the events. They exchanged flowers and stuffed animals as thanks and souvenirs. A magical moment that not everyone is about to forget.
