A "great procession" that hopes to have about twenty steps and to which all the brotherhoods and brotherhoods of León are invited is the focus of the program of events planned for the 33rd National Meeting of Penitential Brotherhoods that will host the city from September 22 to 25, postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic.

A "great procession" that hopes to have about twenty steps and to which all the brotherhoods and brotherhoods of León are invited is the focus of the program of events planned for the 33rd National Meeting of Penitential Brotherhoods that will host the city from September 22 to 25, postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic. The event will bring together organizations and brotherhoods from all over Spain and the direct participants will be joined by hundreds of companions who will be able to participate in a wide range of activities.

The great procession will have a shared route for all the Papons attending, who will depart and return to their respective headquarters to attend this solemn march of a penitential and catechetical nature.

The director of the Meeting, José Antonio Fresno, was in charge of detailing the planned program and that it will be developed under the motto 'People of God on the way out, brotherhoods on the way'.

The registration period is already open for the different modalities that arise.

Presentations, cultural events, gastronomic proposals and guided tours complete the offer of an appointment that will have its main headquarters in the Diocesan and Holy Week Museum of the capital and whose honor committee is chaired by King Felipe VI.

The mayor of León, José Antonio Diez, the Councilor for Action and Cultural Promotion, Evelia Fernández, the Vicar General of the Diocese, Luis García Gutiérrez, the head of the Territorial Service for Culture, Amelia Biaín and the president of the Mayor's Board of the Week Santa, Manuel Ángel Fernández today attended the presentation of the 33rd National Meeting of Brotherhoods that everyone sees as a possibility to promote Passion Week -declared of International Tourist Interest- and the city as a tourist destination.

The website 'semanasanta.org/33-enc' offers from this Wednesday detailed information on the contents of the Meeting for which the mayor foresees "a guaranteed success" and for whose celebration the vicar general has shown "joy and joy".
