A nine-year-old boy has drowned this Thursday afternoon in a reservoir located outside a golf course in Tarrasa (Barcelona).

The event occurred around 8:30 p.m., when the minor, who was bathing with three companions, did not come out of the water. To try to locate the little boy, a dozen crews from the Generalitat Fire Department traveled to the scene of the event.

Among them, members of the underwater unit, who had the support of the Emergency Medical System (SEM). It was after midnight, when the teams located the lifeless body of the minor.

The Mossos d'Esquadra have opened an investigation, although everything indicates that the death was due to accidental causes.
