A 42-year-old motorcyclist died this Thursday when he went off the road and crashed into a sign on Alcalde Valentín Niño de Burgos avenue, at the roundabout at the intersection with Universidad avenue. The incident was recorded minutes before 12:10 a.m., according to sources from the 1-1-2 Emergency Service of Castilla y León and the City Council of the capital.

Several calls requested assistance for the driver of a motorcycle who was injured and was "unconscious" on the road. According to several witnesses, this motorcyclist who was driving along the road on Valentín Niño Avenue towards the southern part of the city lost control of the vehicle, going off the road.

To the place, several local police crews approached where, seeing the seriousness of the injuries suffered by the motorist, they immediately alerted the health services that rushed to the scene. The 1-1-2 reported this accident to the Local Police of Brgos and the emergency coordination center (CCU) of Emergencies Sanitarias-Sacyl, which sent a mobile ICU.

The emergency agencies attended the scene, the injured motorist, 42 years old. He was then transferred in serious condition by the Sacyl mobile ICU to the University Hospital of Burgos (HUBU), where he later died. He is a resident of a town in Alfoz de Burgos, who ran a catering establishment in the Gamonal neighborhood.
