Bombs with TATP is on the one hand relatively easy to fix, but on the other hand, so unstable, that chemists and the military do not want to touch it.

"It is too sensitive for that you can work safely with it," says Peter Hald.

"It just has to have a blow, a flame or a spark, and then detonate it."

It makes TATP bombs – or 'Satan's mother' – all the more dangerous to work with for inexperienced persons.
